  • What is the program: Online Arabic for non-native speakers?

    A program developed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). 12 levels of education, distributed in three stages: (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced). The program supports self-learning.

    On the e-learning management system, there are 3 levels (“beginner” stage) which are preceded by an introductory level (for the novice) of sounds, letters, words, and numbers, to achieve the principle of gradual skills building in the Arabic language.

  • What is the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    An academic program designed to prepare specialists with comprehensive knowledge and the right skills required for the new era. To serve the local and international community. With a total of 160 credit hours that are divided into 71 courses in 8 levels (semesters).

  • For whom are the programs of Distance education and e-Learning at Islamic University?

    For Non-Saudis knowledge seekers, from all over the world.

  • What are the admission requirements for the Online Arabic program for non-native speakers?

    Not less than 13 years at the time of application.

  • What are the application requirements for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    General Secondary School Certificate or equivalent
    The secondary school certificate should be issued by a public school or any school recognized by the Islamic University.
    Any other requirements specified by the University and announced at the time of issuance.

  • What is the required secondary school certificate' average for admission to the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    No specific requirements. However, the certificate's grades may be used for classification and selection of applicants.

  • Is there any required secondary school certificate' stream for admission to the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    No specific requirements.

  • What is the medium of instruction for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    The medium of instruction and assessment is Arabic.
    Arabic is not a prerequisite for admission, but it is a requirement for the enrolment
    Without proof of Arabic language proficiency, the admission to the program will be conditional, and enrolment will be permissible if and only if a further Arabic-language training is successfully completed.

  • What is the duration of study for the Online Arabic program for non-native speakers?

    Each level consists of 5 modules, and each module consists of 5 lessons.
    Each lesson requires an average of 60 minutes to complete;
    The content is available at all times on the learning management system.

  • What is the duration of study for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    Not less than 8 semesters, and not more than 12 semesters, of full-time study.
    Not less than 13 semesters, and not more than 20 semesters, of part-time study.

  • What is the student Academic Load for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    For a full-time student, the minimum academic load is 13 credit hours, and the maximum load is 20 credit hours per semester; taking into account the approved duration of the study.
    For a part-time student, the minimum academic load is 8 credit hours, and the maximum load is 13 credit hours per semester; taking into account the approved duration of the study.

  • When is course enrollment for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    For newly admitted students, the course enrollment starts after the admission notification. For enrolled students, the course enrollment begins after the announcement of the final results of the semester.
    The course enrollment period lasts until the end of the first week of the semester.

  • How to apply for Distance education and e-Learning programs at Islamic University?

  • How to submit the required documents needed to complete the application?

    Electronically Online, after signing in to the registered account. Documents verification and approval may be requested.

  • Are there any fees?

    Yes, Nominal fees.

  • Why are there fees in a not-for-profit institution of higher education?

    To cover some of the programs' operational expenses, and to ensure the programs' sustainability and continuity, and to provide quality educational services.

    A monthly subscription fee of 100 SAR (self-learning) including tests and certification. All learning material will be available on the e-learning management system.

  • What are the fees for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    The application processing fee is SR 100 (non-refundable).
    Tuition fee is SAR 100 per credit hour.
    The total fee for the semester or the program can be estimated through (credit hour fee * total number of registered hours).

  • Is there a deadline to apply for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    No, there is no fixed application deadline

  • When to expect a decision on the application for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    The applications are promptly processed. The aim is to enable the admitted applicants to enroll in the forthcoming semester if the complete application is submitted at least 30 days before the starting of the semester.

  • What are the possible outcomes, following the assessment of an application for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education)?

    - Acceptance; or
    - Conditional acceptance; pending proof of Arabic language proficiency, or
    - Rejection; Secondary School Certificate did not meet the equivalency standards of Islamic University, or
    - Rejection; documents could not be verified, or

    Arabic language Proficiency Certificate, from the Islamic University in Madinah, upon successful completion of the test for each stage (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced).

    Bachelor's degree of Sharia, from the Islamic University in Madinah.
    The degree shall not be conferred until all the data and documents of the graduating student have been verified.

    Yes, according to the university's rules and regulations, to be announced at the time of issuance.

    The course enrollment starts after the admission notification. The classes start at the forthcoming standard semester according to the Academic Calendar.

    Once multiple transactions for the same service are detected on the e-payment system, the refund process is initiated.
    The refund time depends on the credit card issuing bank.

    1- Register via the "Apply Now" button and activate the account through the link sent to the e-mail entered in the registration form.
    2- Log in via the "Sign in" button and continue to pay the subscription fee for the Online Arabic program for non-native speakers, Or
    Submit an application for the Bachelor of Sharia (Distance education) by filling up the online form and submitting the required documents, then proceed to pay the application processing fee.

  • Is there financial aid or scholarships available?
